The Opportunity

Join us as an Information Technology Administrator . You'll own day-to-day administration of the company's Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) tenant, corporate networks, and end-user devices across the Main office in Upland, Phoenix office, and the Northern California location, as well as remote project personnel, and serve as the primary point of technical support for all employees. The position coordinates with the company's security partners and delivers internal training on approved artificial intelligence and automation tools and foundational cybersecurity practices. The position works under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer, following established internal technical standards.

What You'll Do

Microsoft 365 GCC Administration

• Administer the Microsoft 365 GCC tenant, including Entra ID identity and access management, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams.

• Manage user account lifecycle, licensing, multifactor authentication, and conditional access policies.

• Manage endpoint enrollment, configuration profiles, application deployment, and compliance policies through Microsoft Intune.

Network and Infrastructure

• Administer firewalls, switches, wireless networks, virtual private network access, and network segmentation across all company office locations.

• Coordinate with internet service providers and hardware vendors, maintain backup and recovery procedures for company systems, and provide lifecycle refresh input to the Chief Technology Officer.

• Maintain out-of-band management, backup connectivity, and pre-staged spare equipment for remote offices, and coordinate local smart-hands support when on-site intervention is required.

Device and Asset Management

• Provision, image, patch, secure, and retire laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals for all personnel, and maintain a complete and current hardware and software asset inventory across all locations and deployed staff.

End-User Support

• Provide tier one and tier two technical support for all employees, including remote and deployed personnel in other time zones.

• Operate the support ticketing system with defined response and resolution targets, and ship and remotely configure equipment for field staff.

Security Operations and Compliance Support

• Deploy and maintain endpoint protection and logging agents in coordination with the company's security partners.

• Support incident response and remediation activities as directed, and maintain patch and configuration compliance on in-scope assets.

• Support NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 activities, including evidence collection and asset inventories, as directed.

Training and Enablement

• Deliver internal training, using company-provided materials, on Microsoft 365 productivity tools, approved artificial intelligence and automation tools, and foundational cybersecurity awareness.

• Ensure all training content and tool recommendations comply with customer contract restrictions on artificial intelligence products and with company acceptable use policies.

Documentation and Continuity

• Maintain current network diagrams, standard operating procedures, runbooks, and credential vaulting.

• Conduct quarterly cross-training sessions with designated staff to maintain operational continuity.

What You Bring: Required Qualifications

• Three or more years of hands-on information technology administration experience in a business environment.

• Demonstrated administration of Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Intune.

• Working knowledge of network fundamentals, including firewalls, VLAN segmentation, wireless, and VPN technologies.

• Experience managing Windows 10 and Windows 11 endpoints in a business environment.

• Experience operating within a ticketing system, with strong documentation habits.

• CompTIA Security+ certification, or a higher-level equivalent, current at the time of hire.

• United States citizenship, required due to federal contract environment support, and the ability to pass background screening.

• Valid driver's license and the ability to lift and move equipment up to forty pounds.

Highly Valued Experience & Certifications

• Experience supporting an environment governed by NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, or a comparable security framework.

• Experience administering Microsoft 365 GCC or GCC High environments.

• Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, MD-102, or AZ-104, or CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA.

• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, or Copilot administration.

• Experience supporting distributed field teams and administering remote monitoring and management and ticketing platforms.

Work Environment, Schedule, and Travel

This is an on-site position at the Upland, California office. Support for offices outside Upland is delivered remotely, with travel reserved for emergencies, initial deployments, and planned infrastructure work, typically less than five percent. Standard support hours are set in Pacific Time, with occasional schedule adjustments to support personnel in other time zones and occasional after-hours maintenance windows. Overtime is compensated in accordance with California law.
