Senior Vice President, Workplace Solutions (529/ABLE plans)

Job Summary Ascensus is a leading independent technology and service platform powering savings plans across America. We are launching a first‐of‐its‐kind solution that brings 529 education savings and ABLE plans into the workplace. This role provides an opportunity to define and scale a new employee benefit over the next decade. Role As SVP, you will own end‐to‐end strategy, product development and national distribution of workplace‐based 529 and ABLE solutions. You will partner with Product, IT, Operations and Relationship Management teams to bring the vision to life. The role includes product strategy, pricing, go‐to‐market, partnership development and P\&L. Responsibilities Create a bold vision and translate it into a commercially viable offering. Design user experience, build a modern digital platform, and establish operating model to support growth across Fortune 1000 employers. Identify and prioritize channel partners (401(k) recordkeepers, payroll firms, benefits platforms, consultants, HR platforms, financial wellness platforms). Partner with the Government Relations team and industry groups to drive tax benefits for employer 529/ABLE contributions. Partner with Product and UX to develop product strategy, including new employer and employee capabilities. Define employee education capabilities, product servicing requirements, and operational requirements. Identify top partners/clients and maintain relationships; partner with 529 and ABLE relationship management team to drive communication and buy‑in. Design organizational structure and partner with senior leaders to execute on organizational design. Define product pricing strategy and own P\&L for workplace solutions implementations. Design the operational model for 529/ABLE workplace solutions. Ensure protection and secure handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus. Requirements Minimum 15 years of experience in financial services management. Deep understanding of the workplace benefits space, including retirement. Understanding of 529 and ABLE products. Institutional relational management experience in financial services. Demonstrated ability to drive a new offering and motivate diverse teams. Proven leadership, strategic planning and decision‐making skills. Proven organizational, time‐management and communication skills. Sound judgement and discretion. Ability to set clear goals, expectations and objectives. Work directly with the leadership team to gain momentum. Salary & Benefits National average salary range: $200,000 – $250,000 base pay, exclusive of bonuses and benefits. Possible additional rewards include 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and more. The position is open to a hybrid location in Needham, MA; remote candidates may be considered.
