Job Title: Regional Administrative Director

Location: East Moline, Illinois 61244

Job Type: Full-time, W2

Work Setting: Community-based residential and administrative settings

Schedule: Full-time schedule with variable hours based on operational needs. Emergency and crisis response may be required outside standard business hours.

Pay: $95,000 to $115,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Overview

A nonprofit developmental disability services provider is seeking a Regional Administrative Director to oversee community-based residential and integration services in the East Moline area. This leadership position is responsible for regional operations, service quality, staff performance, regulatory compliance, financial oversight, and crisis response.

The Regional Administrative Director will help ensure that adults with developmental disabilities receive respectful, person-centered support that promotes dignity, individual choice, independence, and meaningful participation in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide regional leadership and coordination for residential and community-based services.
• Ensure services are delivered in accordance with individual needs, goals, support plans, organizational standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee staff scheduling and help address coverage needs, planned absences, and call-offs.
• Train, supervise, support, and evaluate direct-care and management staff.
• Monitor service delivery and ensure staff follow required support methods and behavior-support procedures.
• Review documentation for accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct staff meetings, training sessions, and in-service education.
• Collaborate with program leaders, clinical professionals, counselors, therapists, service coordinators, guardians, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee regional budgets, billing processes, and required financial documentation.
• Ensure required drills, audits, reports, employee records, and regulatory documentation are completed on time.
• Maintain compliance with Illinois Department of Human Services regulations and organizational quality standards.
• Provide leadership during emergencies, service concerns, staffing challenges, and crisis situations.
• Complete required continuing education, training, and certifications.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in human services or a related field.
• At least two years of directly related professional experience.
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Ability to meet applicable requirements for operating an organization vehicle.
• Ability to complete required first aid, CPR, medication-administration, and related training within established timeframes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and complete documentation by required deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of supervisory or management experience.
• Leadership experience in developmental disability, residential, behavioral health, social services, or community-based programs.
• Knowledge of person-centered support plans, behavior-support practices, staff development, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience overseeing budgets, billing, quality assurance, or multi-program operations.

Work Environment

This position includes work in confidential office, residential, and community-based settings. The director may meet with employees and supported individuals across multiple locations and must be prepared to respond calmly and professionally during behavioral or crisis situations.

Physical requirements may include extended periods of sitting and occasional assistance with moving objects or people. The employee must have the visual, hearing, communication, and learning abilities necessary to perform the essential responsibilities of the position.
