Senior SAP TM Functional Consultant

Job Title: Senior SAP TM Functional Consultant Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP TM Functional Consultant to serve as a primary resource for the TCA system upgrade and support the SAP S/4HANA 2025 upgrade, with a specialized focus on Transportation Management (TM). This role will assess upgrade impacts, validate end-to-end logistics processes, support testing and functional configuration, resolve defects, and ensure uninterrupted shipping and logistics operations throughout the upgrade transition. No coding experience is required. Key Responsibilities Assess the functional impact of the SAP S/4HANA 2025 upgrade on SAP TM processes using SAP Release Notes, Simplification Items, and relevant documentation. Perform impact assessments and validate end-to-end business processes through hands-on functional testing, integration, and configuration. Design and execute integration testing, UAT, and end-to-end test scenarios; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects through root cause analysis. Collaborate with Application Development, BPMA, TCA, integration, testing, and Change Management teams to coordinate upgrade-related changes. Ensure continuity of critical logistics operations, including freight planning, carrier selection, tendering, charge management, and shipment execution. Support system retrofits, deployment activities, dual maintenance, and environment management during steady-state and upgrade periods. Map and validate O2C and P2P business processes across SAP TM and related logistics applications. Must-Have Skills 5+ years of hands-on SAP Transportation Management (TM) experience, including SAP S/4HANA upgrade or implementation experience. Strong experience with SAP TM functional configuration and validation, including freight planning, tendering, charge management, and settlement. Experience performing SAP upgrade impact assessments using Release Notes, Simplification Items, and related SAP documentation. Strong hands-on experience with integration testing, UAT, end-to-end testing, defect management, and root cause analysis. Experience with SAP TM integration with MM, SD, and other logistics processes, including O2C and P2P. Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with SAP S/4HANA 2025, Private Cloud, or On-Premise environments. Experience with embedded or decentralized SAP TM. Knowledge of SAP EWM, EDI, IDocs, ESR, and CIF integrations. Experience with SAP Solution Manager, SAP Readiness Check, or Focused Build. Experience supporting dual maintenance, retrofits, and upgrade deployment activities. SAP TM certification is preferred. Experience in large-scale or international logistics environments. Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is an execution-driven, detail-oriented SAP TM functional expert with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. This individual should be comfortable working across technical and business teams, driving system validation, managing upgrade impacts, and maintaining operational continuity without requiring hands-on coding experience. Identify and resolve system defects through structured root cause analysis and continuous testing. Collaborate closely across Application Development, BPMA, TCA, integration, and testing teams to implement changes and coordinate with Change Management on all upgrade impacts. Maintain critical logistics operations, ensuring efficient freight planning, carrier selection, and safe shipment processes are not disrupted.
