Monitor patient status and cardiac rhythms, alerting RNs to any acute changes in condition. Stock and organize trauma bays and exam rooms with essential medical supplies. A variety of basic patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Responsible for completing a variety of department specific tasks to assist with optimal department safety and functioning What We're Looking For Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. Experience : 1 year of Nurse Aide experience. Experience in basic patient care, phlebotomy, EKG in an emergency or outpatient setting highly desirable, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Nurse Aide I, required. American Heart Association BLS required. Some departments have additional advanced CPR requirements as listed on staff annual education record, required. Phlebotomy Certification, required. Additional Skills (required): Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Additional Skills (preferred): Knowledge of medical terminology.
