Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to determine the needs of patients presenting a variety of mental health disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, applying the latest evidence-based practices tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, with ongoing assessment of their effectiveness and necessary dosage adjustments.
• Provide psychotherapy services employing therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) to support patients' mental health journeys.
• Engage in regular follow-up appointments to monitor progress, adapt treatment strategies as needed, and ensure optimal care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, ensuring that all aspects of a patient's health are addressed holistically.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Document patient interactions and treatment outcomes to track progress and ensure compliance with legal standards.
• Participate in team meetings and peer supervision to enhance skills and remain abreast of developments in psychiatric care.
• Ensure adherence to ethical and legal standards in mental health treatment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required; advanced degrees such as a Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing is preferred.
• Possession of an active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas.
• Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is required.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to implement evidence-based treatment strategies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate rapport with patients and team members alike.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a psychiatric setting is highly valued.
• Experience with telehealth technologies is a plus, given the evolving landscape of healthcare delivery.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems to document patient care efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

MindWell Psychiatric Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 200,000 to 250,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
