Overview The Compensation Analyst role ensures the development, implementation and management of effective compensation programs that attract, motivate and retain top talent. This role is crucial for maintaining a competitive edge in the industry by ensuring that compensation packages are fair, equitable and aligned with both industry standards and the strategic goals of the firm. Responsibilities Benchmarks company positions against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges across various geographic regions Analyzes compensation data and prepares detailed reports for leadership, highlighting trends and recommending adjustments Performs detailed audits on compensation structures and the classification of exempt versus non-exempt employees Analyzes and evaluates compensation differential rates across multiple geographic locations to ensure equity and competitiveness Prepares and submits compliance reports, including Affirmative Action reporting, to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations Supports annual merit increases and incentive plan administration Supports Talent Acquisition team in preparing job descriptions, evaluating jobs, and reviewing salaries for internal employees and external candidates Ensures job descriptions are aligned with business needs and comply with relevant regulations and standards Participates in the budgeting process by providing compensation-related data and forecasts Analyzes and compares company benefits offerings with those of competing companies to ensure competitive and attractive compensation packages Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in compensation analysis or a related HR role; working knowledge of compensation program analysis, job evaluation techniques, market pricing, and processes Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and perform data analysis Familiarity with job evaluation methods, market pricing techniques, and salary survey participation Frequent interactions with a wide variety of internal contacts with all levels of authority and responsibility Sound judgment and a high level of integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing compensation issues Benefits and Perks We offer a comprehensive benefits program that supports the whole person.
