Supply Chain Associate (Team Lead)

The Supply Chain Associate supports clinical operations by performing a wide range of materials, distribution, and logistics tasks within a medical materials management environment. This role focuses on accurately determining replenishment needs, locating and selecting medical supplies, documenting the receipt and distribution of materials, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies and equipment throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Determine replenishment requirements for medical supplies and materials based on usage and inventory levels.
• Locate, select, and issue medical supplies and equipment to support clinical and operational needs.
• Document the receipt of supplies and equipment accurately and in a timely manner.
• Record and track the distribution of supplies and equipment throughout the facility.
• Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counts and physical inventories, to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Handle materials safely and efficiently, including picking, packing, and stocking shipments.
• Use RF scanners and other scanning devices to record materials movement and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Execute shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipments, labeling, and packaging materials.
• Support logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring supplies are delivered to the correct locations on schedule.
• Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing materials to ensure accuracy and condition.
• Utilize computer systems, including email, SAP or similar logistics systems, and Microsoft Office to complete documentation and communication.
• Collaborate with team members and internal customers to provide responsive and professional customer service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility policies.
• Follow established procedures and protocols related to materials management within a healthcare environment.

Essential Skills

• Associate degree and at least one year of related work experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to perform recordkeeping tasks, including documentation of shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
• Experience performing physical inventories and quality control checks.
• Computer literacy with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to stand on feet for the majority of the shift.
• Physical ability to pick orders, move, and stock shipments.
• Ability to use scanners or RF scan guns to record materials and inventory movements.
• Material handling and logistics experience.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
• Familiarity with warehouse inventory practices and supply chain operations.
• Ability to provide professional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in logistics within a healthcare or hospital environment.
• Hands-on experience using RF scanners or scan guns in a warehouse or materials management setting.
• Experience with SAP or similar logistics and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of packaging, labeling, and order picking best practices.
• Experience working in supply chain management or warehouse inventory roles.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory handling.

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean, climate-controlled hospital environment within a materials management or supply chain setting. You will work closely with a team in a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere. The dress code requires scrubs appropriate for a healthcare facility. The standard shift runs Monday through Friday from 3:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., supporting early-morning logistics and supply operations. Work involves standing for extended periods, handling materials, using RF scanners and related equipment, and operating within a structured, safety-conscious healthcare environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
