Sales And Marketing Specialist

This role is the firm's external-facing presence for business development and the execution engine for marketing. The Specialist drives outbound sales activity, represents the firm at industry events and trade shows, supports client relationship development, and manages marketing campaigns under the direction of the Director of Business Development. This role is well-suited to someone who thrives in a relationship-driven industry, is energized by networking and client-facing environments, and brings both creative marketing instincts and the organizational discipline to execute campaigns end-to-end. Regular evening and weekend availability for events, willingness to travel for trade shows and conferences, and comfort being the firm's face in the field are essential to success in this role. Core Responsibilities Outbound Sales, Networking & Events Conduct outbound prospecting (calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach) in alignment with the Director’s market strategy Research and build prospect lists within target market segments, including general contractors, developers, owners, and industry partners Attend industry events, networking functions, trade shows, and conferences as the firm's representative Travel for out-of-area trade shows, conferences, and client development as needed Host and staff firm-sponsored events, client outings, and hospitality functions — including evening and weekend engagements Qualify leads generated through outbound and event activity Develop and warm prospects to the point of handoff to the Director for proposal and conversion Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect and contact activity records in Zoho CRM Marketing Campaign Development & Management Prepare marketing materials, campaigns, and content for Director's review and approval Manage approved marketing campaigns end-to-end including execution, monitoring, and reporting Develop email newsletter content, manage send cadence, and grow subscriber lists Create and manage a social media content calendar with consistent, industry-relevant posts across platforms Produce marketing collateral including capability decks, project one-pagers, case studies, award submissions, and proposal support materials Coordinate website content updates with vendors; flag opportunities to improve SEO and digital presence Track and report campaign performance metrics to the Director on a regular cadence Recommend campaign improvements and new marketing initiatives for Director's consideration CRM & Administrative Support Maintain CRM data hygiene, contact records, and opportunity tracking Track and report on outbound activity metrics (calls, emails, meetings booked, leads generated) Support proposal preparation with research, formatting, and administrative coordination Assist with project photography coordination and maintaining an up-to-date project portfolio Position Requirements 3-5 years of experience in marketing, business development, or a related field; experience in construction or a related trades industry is a strong asset Familiarity with the construction industry's project lifecycle, procurement processes, or key market segments (commercial, industrial, civil, etc.) is preferred Proficiency with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar), social media management tools, and design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar) Strong written communication and content development skills, with an ability to translate technical project work into compelling marketing materials Regular evening and weekend availability for events and client functions Willingness to travel for trade shows, conferences, and out-of-area business development. (Approximately 50% local area travel, 25% out of area (overnight) travel, 25% in office) Comfortable in networking environments and high-visibility, public-facing roles Valid driver's license and reliable transportation What Success Looks Like In this role, success is measured by consistent outbound activity, a steady pipeline of qualified leads handed off to the Director, and marketing campaigns that are executed on schedule and with measurable results. The right person for this role takes ownership of the firm's external presence — showing up prepared at events, keeping CRM records accurate and current, and producing polished materials that reflect the firm's brand and capabilities. This is a support and execution role; final approval on materials, budget decisions, proposal pricing, and client closing remain with the Director of Business Development.
