Government Sales Specialist - Federal

Join Our Team! Sunbelt Rentals is a leading equipment rental company committed to serving the Federal Government sector. We are seeking a Government Sales Specialist to work under the Government Sales Manager to generate new business, support field territories, and secure federal equipment contracts. Responsibilities Understand all levels of government and the procurement process. Engage government buyers and develop new business opportunities. Have knowledge of GSA and other federal contracts. Interact with existing government customers to increase revenue. Collaborate with Sunbelt field teams to develop business. Demonstrate strong organizational skills and work independently. Maintain and nurture relationships with government clients. Build brand recognition among government customers. Collaborate closely with all Sunbelt divisions. Recognize industry trends and attend relevant shows and events. Capture all governmental opportunities within the territory. Secure and manage federal equipment rental/purchasing contracts within the Eastern US. Qualifications High school diploma with 3+ years of work experience, or a college degree with 2+ years of experience. At least two years of sales experience; government experience is a plus. 1+ year using a CRM such as Salesforce. Basic Microsoft Office skills; experience with Wynne Rental Man a plus. Strong teamwork skills and ability to call on office and field site locations. Eligibility to access federal facilities and military bases. Will travel 50–60% of the time, including overnight stays and occasional weekends. Ready to be on call during natural disasters or emergencies. Physical Demands The role requires ability to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more. The position may also involve driving for long periods, loading and unloading heavy equipment, working in extreme weather conditions (rain, wind, high temperatures), and performing night and weekend work. All duties are performed in compliance with Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines. Compensation & Benefits Base pay range: $40,000.00 – $62,965.00. Compensation also includes a company vehicle and an attractive commission plan.
