Arrow Roofing Systems is growing and we're looking for a Roofing and Siding Technician to join our team!

Arrow Roofing Systems is a recent extension of Arrow Service Team, who has been in the home improvement industry for over 40 years. Arrow provides and assigns company vehicles (typically a pickup truck, box truck, and trailers) with the power tools necessary to complete the job. Basic individual hand tools are employee provided.

Training is fully paid and on-the-job with our experienced team. We have a team of skilled employees ready to share their diverse knowledge, skills, and tricks of the trade. Expected core training is 2 to 3 weeks but depends on overall progress.

In this role, you'll be learning something new every day. Training and skill development is always ongoing in this industry. Over the course of time, you will become well versed in many key areas making you even more valuable.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Shingle, siding, and soffit installation.
• Structural patchwork and repair.
• Sheet metal cutting and bending (using a brake).
• Installation or replacement of vents.
• Installation or repair/replacement of sky lights and sun tunnels.

• Gutter and downspout installation and repair.
• Removal/mitigation of ice dams in the cold season.
• Assisting with customer communication when necessary.
• Collecting material samples and details.
• Safely operating equipment and towing/maneuvering trailers.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  

Other duties (as needed) include:

• Assisting other restoration/reconstruction specialists as needed in our Demolition, Restoration/Reconstruction, and/or Mitigation departments (Arrow Service Team).

Experience and Skills:

• Direct or closely related indirect experience preferred, but willing to train the right person.
• Individual must be familiar with aspects of exterior/carpentry work (roofing, siding, gutters, soffit, etc.) including proficient use of tools and strong knowledge of building materials.
• Ability to complete projects in a timely manner with or without supervision.
• Ability to problem solve and adapt to unexpected changes or challenges.
• Strong attention to detail, precision, and overall craftsmanshift/quality.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team setting.
  
• Ability to be professional, act with integrity, and show empathy.
  

Physical Demands:

• Lift (constantly) 5-15 lbs., lift (frequently) 15-40 lbs.
• May involve significant stand/walk/ push/pull.
• Must be comfortable working at heights (ladders, scaffolding, etc.), balancing, crouching, frequent stooping, reaching, kneeling, and handling.
  
• Exposure to weather conditions with temperatures ranging from mild to moderate cold/heat.
• Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud (occasional to frequent).
  

Pay:

• Starting pay is negotiable and largely depends on experience (DOE), diversity of skillsets, industry knowledge, and ability.
  
• 90-day review (potential for early wage adjustment).Annual reviews scheduled thereafter within department review cycle (potential for wage adjustment).

Schedule:

• During the warmer and peak season, typically 44 to 48 hours per week Monday through Friday (occasional work on weekends, if necessary)
• During the cooler season, typically 40 to 44 hours for limited exteriors work and cross-department work (i.e.: demolition, mitigation, restoration construction, etc.) Monday through Friday.
• 7:30am through 5pm. Occasional earlier starts to accommodate any travel distance and occasional work after 5pm to accommodate job completion or work demand.
• Occasional over-nights with hotel room paid and per diem provided.

Age Requirement:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Education:

• High school or equivalent.

License/Certification:

• Valid and current Drivers License (legal ability to drive is required).
• Reliable transportation for getting to and from the office/shop.
