Sanitation Technician

Job Position: Sanitation Technician Location: Marengo, IL 60152 Pay Rate: $17.00 to $19.00/hr BOE Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Description: The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across production, storage, and common areas to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment. This role plays a key part in supporting product quality, employee safety, and adherence to regulatory standards through consistent execution of sanitation procedures and protocols. Sanitation Technician Duties and Responsibilities Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and surfaces in accordance with established schedules and SOPs. Maintain cleanliness across production, storage, and common areas. Safely use cleaning chemicals and follow all safety and handling guidelines. Properly handle and dispose of waste materials in compliance with regulations. Maintain sanitation logs and documentation of cleaning activities. Report maintenance, safety, or compliance issues promptly. Assist with deep cleaning and facility-wide sanitation projects. Support operational teams in maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Sanitation Technician Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with prior sanitation, janitorial, or facility maintenance experience preferred. Ability to follow detailed instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures, including proper PPE usage and chemical handling. Strong reliability, work ethic, and attention to detail. Experience in regulated environments such as cannabis, food production, or manufacturing preferred.
