Registered Nurse Observation Unit
Evening shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required.
Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Active Registered Nurse license Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of 3 years of current/recent Telemetry/Medical-Surgical experience Proficiency with Epic EMR
Provide nursing care in the Observation Unit, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including telemetry readings. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care. Float to other Medical-Surgical units and the Emergency Department as needed.
Orientation policies: Must complete competency assessment for telemetry skills on the first day. Immediate termination if competency is not passed. All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission.
