Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on the 1S Observation Unit, with mandatory float to other Med-Surg units (Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac) and possibly the ED based on unit needs and competencies
- Monitor telemetry and interpret telemetry/BCRA data; respond to abnormal findings promptly
- Administer medications, perform routine procedures, and implement care plans under physician/orders
- Document thoroughly in the electronic medical record (Epic EMR) and maintain accurate, timely patient information
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, case management, and ancillary staff
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, perform rapid response when indicated, and participate in discharge planning; input on every-other-weekend scheduling as required

Requirements
- Active RN license in Ohio
- BLS and ACLS certifications current
- Epic EMR proficiency required (refresher support or one-on-one coaching not provided)
- Minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry/Med-Surg experience
- Ability to read Telemetry/BCRA and pass competency tests on day one
- Capability to float to other Med-Surg units and ED as needed; able to work nights and every other weekend as part of the schedule
