This is a senior-level role for a CPA who enjoys technical tax work, client advisory, team leadership, and taking true ownership of client relationships. You will manage tax compliance and advisory work for a diverse portfolio of privately held businesses and pass-through entities, with a strong focus on industries such as construction, manufacturing, retail, and professional services. This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants more than a review role. You will serve as a trusted advisor, mentor professional staff, manage engagements, participate in firm initiatives, and have a real voice in the direction of the tax practice.Manage high-level tax consulting and compliance work for pass-through entities and privately held businessesLead tax advisory projects across industries such as construction, manufacturing, retail, and professional servicesConduct technical tax research and prepare clear written guidance on complex tax mattersReview and advise on federal and state tax issues, including planning opportunities and risk areasServe as a primary point of contact for clients and build trusted long-term relationshipsManage multiple client engagements while maintaining quality, deadlines, and profitabilityOversee billing, collections, and engagement economics with a strong sense of ownershipTrain, mentor, and develop professional tax staffParticipate in internal initiatives related to client service, team development, and firm operationsRepresent the firm professionally within the local business and professional communitySeven or more years of relevant public accounting tax experienceCPA license is requiredBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related fieldStrong technical tax consulting and research experienceExperience managing pass-through entity tax workAbility to supervise, train, and develop professional staffStrong client relationship management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA high level of professional integrity and ownershipAbility to provide mostly on-site support in downtown Tampa, with hybrid flexibility availableFull-time hybrid role based in downtown Tampa401(k) plan plus profit sharingComprehensive health insuranceFirm-paid CPA license feesContinuing Professional Education supportPaid parking in downtown TampaBonus opportunity to be determinedLong-term growth opportunity
