Description - What You'll Do

• Conduct both routine and complex laboratory tests-including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and others-all governed by established protocols.
• Evaluate test results for correctness, identify errors, and execute preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Assist with the collection of specimens and prepare samples adequately for testing where required.
• Keep meticulous documentation of all lab procedures, assist in training new staff and students, while helping to maintain high lab quality standards.
• Ensure a safe and organized workspace and fulfill all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be secured within one year of hire.
• Maintain your certification in good standing throughout your employment.
