Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye conditions
• Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as needed
• Perform specialized vision tests (depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision)
• Diagnose and manage conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye procedures
• Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
• Deliver patient-centered care with a strong focus on communication and relationship-building

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
• Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and vision care
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation
• Understanding of medical terminology and healthcare compliance (HIPAA)
• Ability to prescribe medications and manage patient care independently
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
