Billing Specialist - New York, NY Recognized New York City firm is currently seeking a Billing Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our interior design team to manage billing processes and ensure accurate invoicing for a wide range of customized projects. Responsibilities Manage billing processes for various design projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Coordinate with designers to track and update project hours and expenses. Communicate proactively with the design team to provide budget status updates and address any discrepancies. Prepare and issue invoices to vendors and clients based on customized project details. Calculate and allocate billing amounts, including percentages for purchased or used items. Follow up with designers to ensure timely submission of hours and other project data. Verify and reconcile billing information to maintain accurate financial records. Handle payments and ensure proper documentation for all transactions. Collaborate with team members to address billing inquiries and resolve issues. Maintain clear and organized records for all billing activities. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in billing, accounting, or a related field. Familiarity with billing processes for construction or design-related projects. Strong ability to work with customized client systems and budgets. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with designers and vendors. Proficiency in managing calculations and tracking project hours accurately. Attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure billing consistency. Ability to work proactively and independently to meet deadlines. Experience in handling payments and preparing invoices.
