Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing both established assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans addressing immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personalized speech-language interventions aimed at improving communication skills, fluency, voice production, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to reinforce advancement beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evals and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
• Documentation will be vital; maintain accurate records adhering to state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and collaborative peer interaction.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• A completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is necessary if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within your first month of employment.
