- Assess patients of all ages - pediatric, adult, and geriatric - employing an array of standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
- Craft individualized treatment plans designed to address both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions concentrating on facets of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to construct harmonious care strategies.
- Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond the clinical environment.
- Occasionally contribute to inpatient evaluations and interventions to provide seamless care throughout the treatment journey.
- Document patient information accurately and punctually, adhering to all state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Engage in continuous learning and collaboration with peers to stay abreast of advancements in the field.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.
- Valid State Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within 30 days of hiring.
- Skilled in evidence-based treatment techniques across all ages, alongside a solid grasp of speech, language, and swallowing difficulties - both developmental and acquired.
- Exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams effectively.
- Adept at modifying therapy methods to accommodate varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
