Description

• Assess individuals across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and observational techniques.
• Craft personalized treatment strategies addressing both immediate goals and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver tailored one-on-one speech therapy sessions with a focus on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and families to devise cohesive care plans.
• Empower patients and their families with educational resources to enhance progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a continuous care experience throughout the patient's healing journey.
• Uphold precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Remain abreast of evolving practices in the field through ongoing education and interaction with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet accredited by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
