Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing various assessment tools and observational strategies.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy sessions honing in on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to orchestrate comprehensive care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families to enhance progress between therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring a seamless care experience.
• Keep meticulous and timely documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and collaborative learning with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification need to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
