Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A remote Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available for candidates with a PTCB certification and at least three years of experience. This temp-to-hire role focuses on Medicare Part B medication prior authorizations, utilization management, and supporting pharmacy operations through established protocols and effective communication.

Location: Remote
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM ET and 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM ET (shifts may vary)
• Mandatory rotating weekends
• No days off from January 1 to March 31, except for emergencies
  Contract Duration: Approximately 6 months

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process prior authorization requests using decision trees and established policies
• Triage and enter incoming authorization requests from providers
• Support Medicare Part B medication prior authorizations and preferred product strategies
• Contact provider offices and hospitals to obtain clinical documentation
• Communicate authorization decisions and follow up with providers and members as necessary
• Assist in identifying alternative treatment options when required
• Provide operational support to Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacists, and Physicians to ensure timely decisions
• Act as a liaison among internal teams, external providers, and operational partners
• Support offshore clinical partners involved in utilization management workflows
• Interpret plan benefits and enter specialty pharmacy overrides for accurate claim adjudication

Qualifications:

• PTCB certification required
• Minimum three years of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Strong background in Medicare Part B operations, utilization management, prior authorizations, medical benefits, or pharmacy help desk support
• Experience working with the Medicare population
• Proficient in technology including multiple systems and Google Workspace/G Suite
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities
• Prior utilization management and prior authorization experience highly preferred
