Neurosurgery Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Elite First-Assist & Clinic - Melbourne, FL

Health First is seeking an experienced Neurosurgery Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our growing Neurosurgery team. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically confident PA who enjoys practicing at the top of their license in a role that combines outpatient care, inpatient management, and surgical first assist responsibilities. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with an experienced team of neurosurgeons to deliver exceptional patient care.

Position Highlights

• Full-time, employed position
• Monday-Friday schedule (Clinic: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM)
• Outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, and hospital consults
• First Assist in the operating room on complex cranial and spine procedures
• Shared 1:5 call rotation, including one weekday of hospital call per week and one weekend of call per month
• Average clinic volume of 15-16 patients per day
• Advanced surgical technology, including Globus navigation and instrumentation

Qualifications

• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Florida license or eligibility for licensure
• Previous Neurosurgery experience required
• Surgical First Assist experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently in both the clinic and hospital setting
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Practice Highlights

This position offers the opportunity to care for patients across the full continuum of neurosurgical care, from initial consultation through postoperative recovery. You'll assist with a diverse range of cranial and spine procedures, including brain tumors, traumatic brain injury, intracranial hemorrhage, cervical and lumbar spine surgery, spinal trauma, and other complex neurosurgical conditions.
