Exciting Opportunity for a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Clinician Educator
We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opening for a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Clinician Educator to become part of the faculty within the Internal Medicine Residency Program at a prominent hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut.
About the Residency ProgramThis residency program is proudly affiliated with the Yale University School of Medicine , providing a rich academic environment for both residents and faculty.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Clinician Educator will engage in both inpatient and outpatient care, with responsibilities that include:
- Providing clinical supervision
- Instructing residents and medical students
- Developing curriculum
- Delivering noon conferences and grand rounds presentations
- Participating in research and program administration
This role balances clinical practice with academic responsibilities, fostering professional growth and supporting the personal career aspirations of our faculty members.
Candidate QualificationsThe ideal candidate will:
- Hold Board Certification in Internal Medicine
- Possess a keen interest in academic medicine, with prior teaching and leadership experience preferred
Faculty members will have the opportunity to hold academic appointments at both Yale School of Medicine and the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University , with pathways for mentorship, teaching, and academic progression. Those who meet the necessary criteria may also achieve associate professor status.
