Faculty Position for Clinician Educator

Become a vital member of our Internal Medicine Residency Program at Waterbury Hospital by joining us as a full-time Clinic/Ambulatory Faculty member. We are on the lookout for a dedicated physician who is enthusiastic about educating residents in an outpatient setting. This role offers a remarkable chance to influence the next generation of internal medicine practitioners while nurturing a collaborative and supportive educational atmosphere. For those interested, there are also opportunities to serve as an inpatient attending physician.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and instruct internal medicine residents in the outpatient clinic.
• Deliver comprehensive patient care in an ambulatory environment.
• Design and execute the curriculum for the residency program's ambulatory care segment.
• Engage in case-based discussions, grand rounds, and various educational initiatives.
• Promote a positive learning atmosphere that encourages resident participation and professional development.
• Collaborate with fellow faculty members to enhance the residency program as a whole.

Position Requirements

• MD or DO degree with a valid Connecticut State License.
• Federal DEA/Narcotic Registration.
• Successful completion of an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible status.
