OVERVIEW
The Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) enables the DMHC to deliver essential services to the State of California through the use of information technology (IT). The systems OTI supports have become a valuable tool in the execution of DMHC’s business functions. OTI develops, maintains and supports multiple IT systems that include a vast variety of office automation tools, custom applications, public and internal web sites, low-code business intelligence tools, low-code application development tools, data analytics and the underlying IT infrastructure .

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager I (ITM I), Manager of the Enterprise Application EASQ division, the IT Specialist II (ITS II) - Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist - Lead will lead and execute at a high-level of expertise testing Enterprise Software, Infrastructure and/or Enterprise Data solutions. The ITS II is responsible for analyzing project user stories and requirements to design and document comprehensive test cases and test plans. The role includes executing these tests, identifying and defining corrective actions, and developing automated tests using Microsoft Playwright with TypeScript. Additionally, the incumbent conducts performance testing with BlazeMeter and JMeter, and collaborates with end users to support user acceptance and production validation testing. The ITS II also leverages the department’s QA tracking system to report, monitor, and manage defects effectively. When required, the incumbent researches technologies and tools to enhance the Department’s application quality assurance standards and processes .

• The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
