At Shinola, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant contribution at the start of what we believe will become an iconic American brand.About The RoleThe Material Handler plays a key role in supporting daily factory operations by ensuring materials and products are accurately received, stored, and distributed. This position is responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the facility, helping maintain inventory accuracy, and supporting production teams with timely material delivery. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment with the opportunity to contribute directly to operational efficiency and product quality.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, unload, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and qualityAccurately record and store materials in designated locationsPick, stage, and deliver materials to support production linesPack and prepare outbound shipments in accordance with company standardsPerform cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventoryMonitor inventory levels and report discrepancies, damages, or shortagesFulfill internal requests for surplus or replacement partsMaintain organization and cleanliness of stockroom and warehouse areasUtilize RF scanners and internal systems to track inventory movementFollow all company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelinesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent experience1+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling preferredAbility to work independently with a strong sense of urgency and accountabilityComfortable working cross-functionally in a team-oriented environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsBasic math and computer proficiency; willingness to learn new systems and RF devicesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to read labels and follow written instructions accuratelyNote: This job description is not meant to be all-inclusive.
