Product Lead

Product Lead About the role: We’re looking for a Product Lead to own the delivery of software engagements for our clients. You’ll partner with designers, engineers, QA, and clients to turn ambiguous business problems into shipped product. AI is a core part of how we work at Slingshot, not a bolt‑on, and we want someone excited to build that way. Flexible hours and a remote‑first culture. This role is nearly 100% remote, with occasional in‑person attendance for team events and client meetings as they arise. You should be located within the Greater Louisville metro area. We’re flexible on experience level for the right person. If you’re earlier in your career but sharp, curious, and communicate exceptionally well, we want to hear from you. If you’re seasoned and ready to take on our most complex work, we want to hear from you too. What you’ll do Own the product lifecycle on client engagements, from discovery through launch and iteration Manage client relationships end to end, including contract conversations, expectation setting, and proactive communication that builds long‑term trust Lead daily standups, manage the backlog, and write clear user stories Make the hard trade‑offs between scope, quality, and speed Partner directly with client stakeholders as the voice of the product Keep the internal team aligned on what matters and why Bring AI into the work to move faster on research, specs, and analysis Help the broader team find new ways to apply AI across our process Stay curious about how we work and push us to evolve as the tools get better What we’re looking for Product management experience on web or mobile software, with a clear sense of how the full lifecycle fits together An excellent communicator who can hold a room, write clearly, and translate between business and technical audiences Genuine enthusiasm for AI and a habit of experimenting with it in your own workflow Comfort in challenging existing processes and proposing better ones Someone within driving distance of the Greater Louisville metro area Sharp product instincts, calm under pressure, and a bias toward shipping Strongly preferred Willingness to represent Slingshot externally at meetups, conferences, and client events Excitement about talking publicly about how you run projects and how AI is changing the way we build You don’t need a speaking resume on day one, but you should be excited about building one Bonus points Prior engineering or design experience Consultancy or agency background Experience introducing AI tooling to a team and measuring the impact Why you want to work here You like helping businesses achieve new things with technology You want to work with a group that operates with genuine care, integrity, and a healthy sense of fun You like autonomy and are infinitely curious We believe great products come from teams that trust each other’s expertise We give product leads real ownership over outcomes You believe AI empowers product teams to be much sharper, and you want to work somewhere that agrees You are highly passionate and want to work with others who are too Some Cool Benefits Generous PTO and holiday time off, including your birthday 401(k) with company match Quarterly bonuses Valentine’s Day office fairy (it’s a thing) Flexible hours and remote-friendly culture No dress code (except when needed for clients) Zero politics.
