Principal Business Operations Advisor

Job Description We're hiring a Principal Business Operations Advisor to join the Commercial Clinical Operations team! In this dynamic role, you will provide oversight and coordination of departmental strategic planning, business and workforce plan development, business relationship management, reporting, data and/or budget analysis and special projects as assigned. What You'll Do Business and Strategic Planning Build and facilitate repeatable and company-focused strategic planning processes that include confirmation of continued relevance, progress evaluation and communication to affected stakeholders. Lead the creation of the departmental strategic plan, focused business growth objectives and enterprise goals. Lead the coordination, planning and facilitation of various departmental/divisional events (i.e. All Hands Meetings, Leadership Planning Sessions, staff meetings) to make them more effective, purposeful and outcomes based. Manage the overall workforce plan and staffing models, taking into account multiple and interrelated initiatives to either increase or decrease headcount, each with their own set of success criteria/outcomes, budget, and duration. May produce segment business plans and analysis under guidance from Vice President. Facilitate the adoption of standard operating procedures and processes for the department and assist with the communication and education of new SOPs outside of the department. Provide input and recommended strategy for leadership’s public speaking engagements and/or industry Board or committee meetings. Facilitate change management work to support business and process improvements and overall departmental/divisional effectiveness. Project/Initiative Management Lead and coordinate work for special projects or initiatives for the division as assigned. Possible duties could include: Evaluation of potential opportunities and recommendations to reduce costs/improve efficiencies Review and evaluation of best or next practice opportunities for potential adoption Develop recommendations based on important industry literature and ensure leadership is briefed on current and emerging issues of importance to the organization. Serve as lead on engagements with external entities (i.e. consultants) and coordinate data gathering and research efforts based on the direction of leadership. Manage tracking of initiatives/projects for the division and independently create presentations of initiative/project progress for varied audiences, which may include ELT and Senior Leadership. Data Analysis/Reporting Lead the consolidation and standardization of data analysis and reporting for relevant business operations. Provide analysis and insights for proposed strategic initiatives by leveraging unique perspective on the end-to-end operations of the segment and/or division. Coordinate divisional budget analysis, provide input into and monitor budget forecasts and review progress against administrative cost reduction goals Track and evaluate goal progress, including data collection and analysis of key performance metrics (KPIs). What You Bring Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required). 8+ years of experience in related field. In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in related field. Salary Range At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed.
