Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step Down (HVTI) position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, requiring at least 18 months of stepdown experience and Ohio or compact RN licensure.

Details

• HVTI Step Down unit within a large hospital setting
• Potential to float to other units caring for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Shift times may vary based on operational needs of the hospital
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact state RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in a stepdown specialty required
• Minimum 18 months of recent stepdown experience required (travel experience accepted)
• PCU/progressive care experience preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required
• Holiday coverage required — must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any location within this health system; a minimum 6-month break is required before beginning another assignment at any of the system's locations
