Senior Java Developer

Details About the job: The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing a large-scale enterprise application for Non-Merch Vendor Profile management. The system is built using Java (Spring, JSP/Servlets), with Maven, Docker, and integrates with various modules and services. What you will do at Sogeti:

• Maintain, debug, and enhance existing Java-based web applications.
• Design and implement new features and APIs as per business requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with business analysts, and other developers.
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Ensure application security, scalability, and performance.
• Participate in deployment and release management (Maven, Docker, Tomcat).
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests.

What you will bring: 7+ years of experience in Java (Spring, JSP/Servlets/Struts, JDBC). Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML. Experience with Maven, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments. Good understanding of SQL and relational databases (Oracle preferred). Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery). Experience with enterprise authentication/authorization (LDAP, SSO). Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
