Radiation Therapy Manager – Full‑Time Location: Erlanger Baroness Hospital, Chattanooga, TN Job ID: 46970 Job Summary Under the direction of the Oncology/Cancer Services Director and VP of Diagnostic Imaging, the manager oversees inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) Radiation Oncology operations. The role directs and supervises the support services required by radiation therapists, dosimetrists, and physicians. Responsibilities include accountability for patient care quality, staff performance, budget management, and staff education and development. The manager may also perform clinical duties as a staff therapist under the Medical Director. Education Graduate of an ARRT‑approved radiologic technology program. B.S. in Business Administration or related field in clinical radiology, radiation oncology, or other healthcare‑related field. Preferred Education N/A Position Requirements (License/Certification/Registration) ARRT (T) registration. Basic Life Support (BLS) completion prior to unit entry and maintenance thereafter. Preferred Certifications CT Certification. Experience Five years hospital experience in Radiation Therapy. At least three years supervisory experience. Proven progressive leadership. Preferred Experience Level I Trauma or Academic Medical Center experience. Responsibilities Coordinate and integrate inter‑ and intra‑departmental functions across BEH and East campuses. Determine staffing quantity and competency for Radiation Oncology. Oversee ACR accreditation and DNV inspection and accreditation processes. Install and monitor quality assurance as required. Conduct staff meetings. Perform HR functions such as interviewing, hiring, and discipline. Develop equipment purchasing guidelines and coordinate service bids. Recommend vendors for required facilities, equipment, and staffing. Assist with budget creation and maintenance within budget constraints. Manage project management and capital equipment evaluation. Participate in development of proformas, needs assessments, and strategic planning. Represent radiation therapy in hospital events (e.g., telethons, United Way). Perform clinical duties as appropriate, exercising independent judgment in the use of radiology equipment. Department Position Summary The manager must demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide comprehensive care appropriate to all patient ages within the Radiation Oncology Departments. Setting goals and objectives suitable for both pediatric and adult settings is required to meet national accreditation standards of ACR and DNV. The manager holds staff accountable to the highest patient care standards of Erlanger Health System and directly reports to the Oncology Services Director for all radiation therapy matters. #J-18808-Ljbffr
