Position Overview: They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller or Director of Accounting with financial reporting exposure to join our finance team. This role will play a critical part in managing and overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, a deep understanding of GAAP, and experience within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Ensure all financial reports are accurate, complete, and delivered on time. Manage and coordinate internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards. Work closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation and resolve any issues. Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities, including subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting processes and implement best practices. Lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting function. Work closely with the accounting, FP&A, and operational teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data. Provide financial reporting insights to support decision‑making. Prepare and present financial reports to private equity stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with investor expectations. Provide guidance on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and other relevant standards. Stay current on new accounting standards and ensure compliance. Manage and mentor a team of financial reporting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation required. 5-7 years of experience in financial reporting, with at least 2 years in a management role. Public accounting experience (Big4 preferred) is highly desirable. Experience in a manufacturing or shared services environment is a plus. Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting standards. Proficiency in financial reporting software and advanced Excel skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to various stakeholders, including senior management and private equity investors. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Proven experience in leading and developing high‑performing teams. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast‑paced environment.
