Details Work in the Medical-Surgical ICU of a hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:2 Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) Uses Epic EMR system Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS and PALS preferred Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience required Prior charge nurse experience preferred Epic charting experience required Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, and blood product administration required Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and suctioning (ETT, NT) required Experience with CVVHD/CRRT and management of acute/chronic renal failure required Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and administering continuous IV sedation required Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and interpreting/managing dysrhythmias required Experience with IV insulin protocols required Preferred experience includes ECMO, IABP, TAVR, EVD, ICP monitoring, and post-cardiac or neurosurgical care Preferred experience in teaching, community, LTAC, or Trauma Level I/II hospital settings Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients with complex, multisystem needs Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not eligible for this contract Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted Travel pairs or groups are not accepted Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation First-time travelers may not be considered due to the travel experience requirement American Traveler Job ID P-747969.
