Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift 3x12

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift following a 3x12 schedule.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees while embracing the core values of a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to establish individualized care plans.
• Identify patient/family teaching needs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, utilizing the nursing process to prioritize education.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education upon admission.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding patient status to support continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in team building to enhance work environment and efficiency.
• Seek consultation from senior nursing staff for complex clinical decision-making.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (if applicable).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
