Industrial Controls Panel Builder / Electrical InstallerThe Industrial Controls Panel Builder / Electrical Installer is responsible for the assembly, wiring, installation, and start up support of industrial control systems, including PLC panels, motor control centers (MCCs), LV and MV Switchgear and instrumentation systems. This role is mainly shop fabrication but may be requested to support field installation if needed, ensuring that all work is executed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and company standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble industrial control panels, PLC panels, junction boxes, MCC sections, and Switchgear per electrical schematics and layout drawingsPerform point-to-point wiring of control devices including relays, terminal blocks, PLC I/O, VFDs, breakers and instrumentationFabricate and install panel components such as DIN rail, wire duct, bus bar systems, and mounting hardwareLabel and tag all devices, wires, and components in accordance with project standardsPerform quality checks to ensure wiring accuracy, torque requirements, and overall workmanshipAssist with panel FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and documentationInstall control panels, MCCs, and associated equipment at industrial facilitiesRun conduit, cable tray, and supports; pull and route power and control cablesTerminate cables for power, control, and instrumentation systems (including low voltage and medium voltage where applicable)Install and connect devices such as transmitters, sensors, motors, and control valvesPerform panel and equipment grounding per applicable standardsSupport loop checks, point-to-point verification, and system checkoutAble to operate forklift.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent2–5+ years of experience in industrial electrical controls and panel buildingAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematicsExperience with tools and equipment used for panel building and electrical installationPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to work in a shop and industrial field environment (indoor and outdoor conditions)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring bending, climbing, and standing for extended periodsAbility to travel to job sites if requested.Key Traits for SuccessStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsWillingness to work overtime and flexible schedules to support project demands
