At Surcheros, we believe that every great meal starts with meticulous preparation. The Meat Prep is responsible for cutting and cooking all of our fresh meats. This is a BOH position. If you are excited to contribute but want to stay behind the scenes this could be the position for you. We're on the lookout for dedicated individuals who enjoy working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly in the kitchen. If you have a knack for food preparation and want to be part of a team that values high-quality, fresh ingredients, this is be the perfect opportunity for you!WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Master the Meat Prep: Prepare and portion food items with precision, ensuring all ingredients are ready for service. Keep It Fresh: Stock, date, rotate, and check temperatures of products to guarantee freshness. Sanitary Standards: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes. Safety First: Handle slicers, knives, and other kitchen utensils and equipment with care to ensure a safe working environment. Stay Flexible: Adapt to the needs of the kitchen, shifting tasks as necessary to keep operations running smoothly.REQUIREMENTS:
Repetitive hand and arm movements, grasping, bending, and reaching Responsible for moving or lifting an average of 30-50 pounds Exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, cooking equipment, etc.) Safe and proper handling of knives, kitchen utensils, and equipment Maintain a sanitary kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes; cleaning equipment Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards Ability to follow recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, carving, and serving food items which may include meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food products Manage and perform stock counts, date, rotate, and temperature checks of productsMAKE SURE YOU:
