IT Support Specialist

Salary: $60,000 - 70,000 per year Requirements:

• We need at least 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, field support, or junior systems administration.
• We expect working knowledge of Windows laptops and desktops, common business applications, printers, peripherals, basic networking, and user account troubleshooting.
• We need experience supporting or administering Google Workspace, Microsoft Active Directory, or similar identity and collaboration platforms.
• We expect experience provisioning devices, installing software, resolving tickets, documenting work, and communicating effectively with non-technical users.
• We need a strong customer-service mindset, patience, professionalism, and ownership through to resolution.
• We need the ability to manage competing priorities, protect confidential information, follow security procedures, and recognize when escalation is necessary.
• We require the ability to work primarily on-site in Houston.
• A degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent technical training and experience.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Google Workspace, Microsoft, or comparable credentials are preferred.
• Experience with endpoint management, mobile-device management, remote support tools, ticketing systems, antivirus or endpoint detection, and software deployment is preferred.
• Experience supporting multiple locations, field or operational users, transportation or logistics businesses, or a growing company with evolving systems is preferred.
• Interest and progress toward broader systems, cloud, network, security, or infrastructure administration responsibilities is preferred.

• We provide prompt, professional support for laptops, desktops, peripherals, printers, software, collaboration tools, connectivity, and common access issues.
• We own support tickets from intake through resolution, clearly document troubleshooting steps, communicate status, and escalate when needed.
• We prioritize business-critical incidents while staying reliable on routine requests and recurring issues.
• We identify repeat problems and help create root-cause fixes, knowledge articles, user guidance, and preventive controls.
• We provision and configure laptops, accounts, email, collaboration tools, security settings, and required applications for new hires and role changes.
• We carry out offboarding and access removal quickly and thoroughly in coordination with HR and business leadership.
• We maintain accurate inventories for devices, licenses, accounts, and access, including assignment, return, repair, replacement, and disposal records.
• We support identity and access administration across Google Workspace, directory services, business applications, and other approved platforms using least-privilege principles.
• We assist with operating system updates, endpoint protection, device policies, software deployment, patching, backup checks, and baseline configuration standards.
• We help manage directory administration, group and permission settings, workstation policies, shared resources, and routine account issues.
• We perform basic network and connectivity troubleshooting and coordinate with vendors or senior technical resources on firewall, switching, wireless, telephony, and internet-service matters.
• We build our systems administration capability through documented procedures, guided projects, recurring maintenance, and scoped technical improvements.
