Material Handler Distribution Manufacturing Support

divh2Job Title/h2pPerforms miscellaneous functions pertaining to the cleanliness, 5-S, safety and timely support of the distribution and manufacturing operations to include, but not limited to:/ppShift: 7am - 3:30pm | Monday - Friday (overtime and weekend work as needed)/ppPrimary Responsibilities:/pulliPerforms a variety of material handling and equipment tending work require lifting and stacking, performance of designated equipment adjustments and identifying of locations and materials; or performs rough finishing work. Consistently executes Quality System work procedures pertinent to the position./liliLoads and unloads a variety of products and materials requiring lifting in connection with operations. Assembles specified quantities of material from clearly designated pick areas. Services assembly and packing operations by handling a variety of products and materials requiring lifting. Makes minor adjustments to equipment. Places corrugated slip sheets on pallet loads./liliPerforms routine tasks related to maintenance activities such as greasing low trailers, cleaning parts or equipment, and assisting maintenance personnel./liliDiscards cracked and other obviously defective ware; verify clearly designated quantities, weights or counts, fills out simple forms. Stamps, labels or otherwise identifies items./liliOperates stretch wrap tape, gluing or binding equipment; assembles and sorts cartons and packing materials; performs packaging operations./liliOperates powered tow tractors, pulling strings of several carts and/or power sweeper./liliPerforms miscellaneous routine tasks as directed by supervisor. Assists production, maintenance and other personnel as required. Provides relief and other assistance as directed./liliObserves all safety rules and helps maintain good housekeeping by keeping tools and equipment in the proper place./liliMaintains a clean, safe and orderly work area./liliOther duties as assigned by management./li/ulpRequired Qualifications:/pulliHigh School Diploma /GED/liliAbility to regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. If over 50 lbs., team lift is required./liliAbility to move about on the production floor for a minimum of 8 hours per shift/liliPromotes a safe work environment and culture./liliProfessionally communicate./liliProblem solving skills/li/ul/div
