Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Schedule

Contract Length: 13 weeks. Shift pattern: Guaranteed 3 shifts per week, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend requirement: every other weekend. No on-call shifts.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed hours available. Must confirm shift pattern at time of submission.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• EMR system: EPIC experience required.
• Childrens' needs: Experience with post-op care, bariatric patients, tracheostomy care, and patient mobilization.
• Must pass Relias EKG exam; interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required.
• Phlebotomy and IV management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for post-operative medical/surgical adult patients.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
• Monitor and document patient progress, including patient mobilization and interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Utilize critical thinking to assess and manage patient needs effectively.

Compliance / Notes

Orientation: 24 hours. Parking options available, details will be provided. All requests for time off must be finalized at submission, with a maximum of 7 days off allowed during the contract period.
