Financial AnalystColliers Engineering & Design is seeking a dynamic Financial Analyst to join our high-performing finance team in Charlotte, NC. This role is designed for a tech-savvy professional who thrives on data analytics, financial modeling, and strategic insight. You will play a critical role in supporting decision-making, enhancing reporting capabilities, and driving financial performance across the organization.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Modeling & Forecasting: Build and maintain advanced financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning across P&L, working capital, backlog, and other KPIs.Data Analytics & Visualization: Leverage tools like Power BI, Excel, CoPilot, and our ERP system (BST) to create dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights to leadership and operational teams.Performance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and synthesize drivers of financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.Strategic Support: Partner with the Director of Finance, CFO and senior leaders to prepare executive-level presentations, business reviews, and shareholder materials that explain the "why" behind financial outcomes.Process Improvement: Contribute to initiatives that streamline workflows, enhance data governance, and improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.M&A & Due Diligence: Support acquisition analysis, integration planning, and ROI scenario development as part of the company's growth strategy.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.2-3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a data-driven or tech-enabled environment.Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, CoPilot, and ERP systems (e.g., BST, Deltek, SAP, Oracle).Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and forecasting techniques.Excellent organization skills & ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables effectively and deliver results on time.Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex data into clear insights, tailored to the audience.Experience with financial systems implementation or enhancement is a plus (e.g., OneStream, TM1, Hyperion Planning, Blackline, etc).Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.What We OfferAt Colliers Engineering & Design, our people are our most important resource.
