Nurse Practitioner - ICU Neonatal - Part Time

The nurse practitioner is a registered professional nurse prepared in a formal educational program to assume an advanced role in providing health care services. This practice builds on previous knowledge and skills and utilizes in-depth knowledge of physical assessment and management of client health care needs. The nurse practitioner works collaboratively with other health care professionals such as physicians, registered nurses and social workers. In collaboration with the contracted medical directors, the nurse practitioner will carry out the major responsibility for the health care needs including evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, therapeutic management and follow-up.

Requirements:

Education/Skills

• Master's program preparation with FNP or PNP concentration required
• Other: unencumbered license to practice as a FNP or PNP with prescriptive authority in the State of Louisiana

Experience

• One year experience as Nurse Practitioner; with the exception of exceptional new grads with recommendation

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Current certification to practice as an Advance Nurse Practitioner or PA in the State of Louisiana required
• Board Certification as an advanced practice clinician is required
• NRP required
• American Heart Association BLS required
• ACLS certification recommended

Work Schedule: 24 HOURS
