JOB DETAILS:

10+ years in IT with strong, hands-on Java background
Core Java, Spring / Spring Boot, Microservices architecture
REST API design and integration patterns
AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud Experience
Solid understanding of application security, performance tuning, and scalability for enterprise systems
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript development experience.
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Microservices, and REST APIs.

Preferred / Additional Skills
Experience designing high-throughput and low-latency systems.
Experience with Single-Page Application (SPA) architecture.
Strong understanding of asynchronous processing, caching, load balancing, and performance optimization.
Experience developing responsive, cross-browser-compatible web applications.
AWS cloud-native development with PostgreSQL.
Strong knowledge of OpenShift and Docker.
Experience with Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Nexus, Maven, SonarQube, Fortify, and UrbanCode Deploy.
Experience with REST, SOAP, XML, JAXP, JAXB, JAX-WS, Axis, Jersey, JSON, and CXF.
Experience with OAuth2/JWT and web application security.
Strong knowledge of JPA, Hibernate, Spring JDBC, Spring Security, Spring Batch, DB2, Tomcat, and WebSphere.
Experience addressing SonarQube bugs, vulnerabilities, security hotspots, and technical debt.
Experience with application performance tuning, CPU/memory optimization, scalability, and high-volume systems.

Nice-to-Have Skills
Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams.
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and applying AI concepts to enterprise application architecture.
Section 508 implementation experience.
Technical white papers and system design documentation.
Previous experience supporting federal or state government IT projects.
Experience with low-code platforms such as ServiceNow, Pega, or Microsoft Power Platform.
