Mid-Level Provider PA or Family Nurse Practitioner - FNP Position Responsibilities include physical assessments; diagnosis, treatment and counseling in the clinical areas with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. Primary clinics are women’s health, child health, and STD. This position includes providing primary health care through a collaborative practice approach which includes registered nurses, collaborating family physician, and other health care professionals. Other services to be provided by this position include physicals for sports, work, kindergarten, and college applications. This position is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Qualifications Licensed as a Physician Assistant or Registered Nurse by the Board of Nursing, graduation from a practitioner program approved by the N.C. Joint Subcommittee of the Board of Nursing and Board of Medical Examiners, and “approved to practice medical acts” based on education and experience by the Joint Subcommittee, and one year of experience as a physician extender.
