Sr Product Owner, AI Productivity

Position Summary Samsung Ads seeks a Senior Product Owner to lead the "AI for All" initiative, scaling AI tools, workflows, and governance across the organization. This role owns strategy, roadmap, and delivery of internal AI productivity capabilities, translating cutting‑edge AI into measurable gains in productivity. Responsibilities Drive organization‑wide AI adoption across engineering, product, operations, sales, and leadership. Define and execute phased AI adoption roadmap and governance framework, including tool selection, security, cost controls, and compliance policies. Develop and maintain citizen developer program and measurement framework for adoption metrics, KPI, ROI, and time‑to‑value. Own product backlog for internal AI platform (gateway, model routing, prompt libraries, integrations, self‑service infrastructure). Partner with ML/infrastructure engineers on build‑vs‑buy decisions for AI tools and manage multi‑tool strategy (Claude, Copilot, Codex, Gemini). Run pilot‑measure‑scale cycles for new AI capabilities across teams and geographies. Design training and enablement programs tailored to user personas. Build internal community of practice—champions, office hours, showcases, shared libraries, best‑practice docs. Remove adoption friction through onboarding flows, self‑service tooling, documentation, and tiered support. Track and close gap between tool access and active usage; implement cost controls and usage monitoring. Partner with Legal, Security, and Compliance on data handling, IP protection, regulatory requirements, and AI usage policies. Monitor and mitigate risks such as hallucination, over‑reliance, shadow AI, and data leakage. Qualifications 8+ years in product management/ownership with at least 3 years focused on internal tools, developer platforms, or enterprise productivity. Experience driving adoption across large, distributed organizations (1,000+ people across multiple geographies). Proven track record building self‑service platforms that scale without linear team growth. Strong experience managing product backlogs and cross‑functional delivery in Agile environments. Required Skills Hands‑on experience with AI/ML products—shipped AI‑powered tools or managed AI adoption programs at enterprise scale. Strong understanding of LLM capabilities, prompt engineering, and AI tool evaluation. Familiarity with AI coding assistant landscape (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, Codex) and enterprise deployment patterns. Ability to hold technical conversations with ML engineers and evaluate build‑vs‑buy tradeoffs. Preferred Skills Experience building AI governance frameworks—cost management, security controls, compliance in regulated environments. Hands‑on experience with LLM orchestration tooling (LiteLLM, API gateways, model routing, token management). Background in developer experience or internal developer platform teams. Experience building communities of practice or champion networks at scale. Background in advertising technology, media, or high‑scale data platforms. Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience. Personal use of AI tools extensively to inform product decisions. Salary Range Base range for Mountain View, CA: $165,000 – $215,000. Pay determined by skills, experience, and internal comparisons.
