Bakery Cookie Specialist (Seasonal)

THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION TAKING PLACE STARTING IN JULY UNTIL DECEMBER 2026. Summary Rotates throughout several tasks in the bakery including planting, dipping, wrapping, filling, and packaging of product while adhering to food safety and quality procedures. Ensures all employees are treated consistently, fairly, ethically, and respectfully Consistentlyfollowsdepartmentaldirectionsandadherestoallproductspecifications,food safety programs, GMPs, and HACCP Policies Observesproductswithintheassignedproductionprocessandensurescorrectcount, flavor, label accuracy and correct case packs RotatesamongdutieswithintheBakeryproductionlineincludingthefruitplacing, chocolate dipping, sample chopping, wrapping and packing Performsotherproductionduties:pick/packorders,receive/stowproductandensures inventory accuracy Sets up packaging material based on order, fills cookies based on matrix, inserts packingmaterials tocomplete the product based on specification Createssamplesforretailandwholesalesampling Maintainsproductknowledgeandgeneralinformation Fillspackagedproducts intocasesanddatesandstoresindesignatedlocation Operatesandassistsinvariousbakeryequipmentsuchasheat-sealinggun,sealingmachine, table top chocolate tempering machine, flow wrappers, chocolate tempering tanks, and vertical feeder Performsquality control checks consistently and properly throughout the bakery production processes Ensures that raw ingredients and raw materials used are of good quality and appropriate quantity Makes surethatallperishableitemsarestoredandrotatedproperly Cross-trains with other department members for maximum flexibility Observes color of cookies (unbaked and baked) and informs Baker of not up to standard quality Observesproductsacrossmultiplestages,includingensureproperweights,baking, quantity/ distribution, cooling timeline, and label accuracy AssistsOrderFulfillmentandPackingproductionduringpeakseason Ensures all bakery products and ingredients are properly labeled and dated following FIFO and best before date standard protocols Reportsanyissuesorproblemswithproductionleadortoimmediatesupervisor Participatesintrainingandprogressdevelopments Performsotherdutiesasassigned Skills Representsthecompanybrandimageandsharesalohatoallcustomers,businesspartners, and co-workers at all levels throughout the company Highlevelverbalcommunicationabilities Abilitytoworkwellwithothers andbeateam-player Abilitytoperformsteadyandproductiveworkforanextendedperiod Abletounderstandandfolloworalorwrittenworkinstructions Possessesbasicmathematicalskills:addition,subtraction,multiplication,anddivision Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Wears protective gear (uniform), including gloves, face/eye shields, aprons, hearing protection, hairnets, beard nets, etc. Physical Demands Thephysicaldemandsdescribedherearerepresentativeofthosethatmustbemetbyan employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job.
