SE WDCE Events Manager
University of Richmond
Job Title
Manages all station events in coordination with Station Manager, Faculty Advisor, General Manager and Program Director.
Specific duties include:
- Communicating with other University departments to inquire if the station can emcee and/or provide music at their events
- Recruiting Executive Board and General Staff members to staff station events
- Maintaining and distributing the schedule of events with staff members working the events
- Sending detailed information of events to Promotions Director for social media and website
- Working with Station Manager, Faculty Advisor, and others, including Music Directors, to schedule, book and execute concerts on-campus
- Managing equipment used for events, including testing of equipment and reporting any issues immediately
- Being able to lift up to 50lbs (for moving equipment, etc.)
- Communicating with all DJs about University and FCC rules and regulations
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned by the professional staff
Qualifications:
- Must have prior experience of 1-semester minimum on WDCE Executive Board
- Must possess problem solving and growth mindset with a positive attitude and an initiative to resolve questions or concerns
- Must work a minimum of 4 office hours per week
- Preferred qualification of a 1-hour (minimum) on-air show
- Must attend all weekly Executive Board meetings and General Staff Meetings (unless previously-approved absence)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Forms and social media platforms
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and handle high-stress situations
- Strong organizational, managerial and administrative skills
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Approx. 10-15 hours/week
