Geotechnical Project Manager - Pittsburgh, PA Job Description The Geotechnical Project Manager is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project‑specific observations, and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures. The role requires the ability to manage geotechnical projects, including field exploration, laboratory services, engineering analysis, report preparation, and technical review. Responsibilities Direct and execute one or all of the following geotechnical project assignments: field exploration, laboratory services, engineering analysis, report preparation, and report technical review. Provide quality‑control review of proposals and reports and direct operations to consistently meet client commitments. Actively participate in business development and marketing efforts while establishing and maintaining client relationships related to the technical aspects of assignments. Mentor and train senior and junior professional staff. Build relationships with professional and technical organizations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering 3+ years of progressive Geotechnical Engineering experience with active project‑management responsibility Excellent communication, project‑management, and organizational skills In‑depth understanding of Geotechnical Engineering and related disciplines, with the ability and desire to provide creative and practical solutions to meet client needs Expected travel less than 5% of the time Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required) Preferred Qualifications Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred EEO Statement Intertek is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer that values inclusion and diversity.
