The Role

Are you a high-energy, charismatic finance and accounting savvy Solutions Consultant who thrives on the thrill of the hunt?

We are looking for an enthusiastic Financial Solutions Consultant to join our New Business Sales team. In this role, you will be the bridge between complex financial and business challenges and our high-performance solutions. You will partner closely with Account Executives to win new logos, acting as the primary product and financial solution expert throughout the sales cycle. If you love stepping into a room (or a Zoom) to command an audience and show prospects exactly how technology can help them take pole position in their market, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Discovery: Conduct high-impact, interactive client discovery sessions to uncover deep business pain points, strategic goals, and operational bottlenecks specifically related to financial processes, accounting, and regulatory compliance.
• Functional Fit Qualification: Actively participate in the qualification process, analysing prospect requirements to ensure our Adaptive ERP, and complementary solutions are the perfect engine for their financial needs.
• Deliver Outcome-Driven Presentations: Design, build, and deliver compelling software demonstrations and executive presentations. You will focus strictly on tangible business outcomes, using storytelling to give a clear picture of how our solution drives ROI through financial process transformation, improved financial visibility, and efficient statutory reporting.
• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the sales team—acting as a seamless, elite pit crew—to build customized win strategies, craft RFP/RFI responses, and navigate complex technical evaluations.
• Be the Expert: Maintain a premier level of knowledge regarding QAD's suite of solutions, financial and accounting industry trends (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP), and the competitive grid.

Qualifications

What You Bring (Core Requirements)

• Experience: Five+ years within a sales environment selling ERP.
• Contagious Energy: Demonstrated ability to maintain high morale and activity levels during long-tail deals.
• Pre-Sales Experience: A proven track record in a customer-facing Solution Consultant, Sales Engineer, or Pre-Sales role within the enterprise software (SaaS) space.
• Financial/Accounting Acumen: A solid understanding of financial and accounting principles, including the financial close process, General Ledger (G/L), and key ERP Financial modules such as Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Tax Management and Cost Management.
• Problem-Solving DNA: The ability to think on your feet, translate technical jargon into business value, and adapt quickly during live, outcome-focused demonstrations when conditions change.
• Modern Skills: Experience with Generative AI in the workplace to make tasks efficient.

Nice-to-Haves

While the right energy and core skills are paramount, candidates with the following will immediately stand out:

• Advanced Education/Certifications: An MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Information Systems; Certifications like CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or AAT are desirable.
• Competitor Insight: Hands-on experience or deep competitive knowledge of alternative ERP products (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Next-Gen Tech Fluency: Familiarity with Generative AI applications and how they are transforming enterprise software and supply chain analytics.
• Cloud Architecture Knowledge: Understanding of AWS infrastructure and modern cloud deployment methodologies.
• Advanced Education: An MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Information Systems.

Ability to Travel

Flexible hours that may vary day to day, based on customer needs and milestones.

Up to 25% travel, for customer visits, industry conferences, QAD meetings and occasional international travel.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

• Base pay range: $135,000 - $160,000 USD Annual (12 Months).
• Placement within our pay range will vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and market location variations as well as internal peer equity.
• This position is eligible for commission incentives
• U.S. benefits package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, flexible spending accounts and employee assistance program.
